Anxiety
Our empirically-supported treatment materials are specially designed for work with youth engaging, appealing, and developmentally appropriate. The materials guide the implementation of cognitive-behavioral therapies where the goal is to provide opportunities for youth to learn skills to meet their specific needs.
Anger/Aggression
"KEEPING YOUR COOL" Program for ANGRY/AGGRESSIVE Youth: In this program, anger management skills are practiced, with each child writing answers to questions and exercises in the "Keeping Your Cool" Workbook. Part Two provides an additional workbook that offers continued rehearsal of anger management skills using new exercises. The therapist manual is intended to provide the therapist with guidelines for administering the treatment. The video/DVD may be used alone or in conjunction with the written materials.
Depression
The ACTION Workbooks and accompanying Therapist Manuals offer a sequential, step-wise program to teach 9 to 14-year-olds skills for overcoming depression. The ACTION Therapist Manual describes a 20-session group treatment program, and the ACTION Workbooks (there are separate workbooks for girls and for boys) provide participants with supportive materials and forms that facilitate completion of therapeutic homework. The depression management strategies presented in the ACTION program are cognitive-behavioral in nature and involve integration of clinical and research procedures that have been found to be efficacious. There is also an accompanying program for the parents of the depressed youth, including a Parent Workbook (one for parents of boys, and one for parents of girls), and an accompanying Parent Training Manual.
Impulsivity
"STOP AND THINK: Program for IMPULSIVE Youth: Each child is issued his/her own workbook, in which they write answers to problem-solving exercises. A therapist manual and a teacher manual are offered.
Camp Cope-A-Lot
Camp Cope-A-Lot is a 12-session interactive CD-ROM-assisted treatment for use with children suffering from anxiety. The computer program provides cognitive behavioral therapy (based on the Coping Cat treatment) for 7 - 13 year old anxious youth.  Child users advance on their own and at their own pace through the first 6 sessions, and through the last 6 sessions with therapist (coach) guidance.  Users complete fun and engaging interactivities that communicate skills for managing anxiety. Along with other campers at Camp Cope-A-Lot, the child goes to an amusement park, puts on a talent show, meets someone new, speaks in public, sleeps in the dark, and experiences other adventures.

Emotion

Adopting a transdiagnostic approach, the family of materials labeled “EMOTION” target both anxiety and depression in youth.  This family of materials includes (a) a child workbook, (b) the group leader manual, (c) a parent workbook, and (d) the group leader manual for the parent meetings.

The EMOTION materials constitute a program for helping youth to manage anxiety and depression.  The program is a 20-session intervention for youth ages 8 to 12 years who have difficulties with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. The program is designed to reduce the likelihood of the development of an anxiety and/or depression disorder.  Implemented in a group format, EMOTION integrates core components of empirically supported treatments for anxiety and for depression in youth (Coping Cat, Kendall & Hedtke, 2006a 2006b; ACTION, Stark et al., 2007).
